BUSINESS LICENSE MALAYSIA
In Malaysia, a signboard and premises license are the official license that gives your business all the right to commence right away. Every business in Malaysia is required to apply for their business premise licenses and signboard licenses from the respective State Authorities. The requirements for the application of a business license and a signboard license may vary according to each local authority which is depending on the company’s premise location.
Despite headquarters or branches, for each business premise, the company owner needs to obtain their business premise licenses and signboard licenses.
SIGNBOARD LICENSE
The signboard is often known as the Business Name, of the company. That allows the business to lawfully display signage in front of their business premise. It serves as proof that the signboard was installed with authority and not merely applied on its own. It is an offense if a functioning business does not have a signboard and a premise license. The fine might be up to RM 50000. The DBKL and other authorities may visit any premise at any time to inspect. Never establish a shop or any other business without a legal license.
The General requirement to obtain Signboard license approval:
- The Nature of your business must be clearly set out in Malay Language (BAHASA MALAYSIA), together with your business title/company name (IN BAHASA MALAYSIA / AS PER TO SSM) and business license number.
- Type of Application (New / Renewal)
